Stolen from romanticalgirl

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in comments. (examples: "Five Dates Roy Mustang Regretted Going On," or "Five Fannish Gatherings that Sally Draper Attended"). I'll answer with a list of five things.

(I would not advise asking me about Roy Mustang or Sally Draper though. Just FYI.)

just a sliver of the moon
Fall Out Boy RPF; Pete Wentz/Meagan Camper; nc-17; 1,559 words
In terms of risk assessment, which his therapist had insistently drilled into him (bad choice of words, Pete, he thinks), he's fine.

I signed up for kink_bingo over on DW! You should too, since there won't be another one until 2015.

My square is under the cut, for space. Um, I could not have asked for a better fandom to use for furries than bandom. card kinks woooCollapse )

But I'm taking a workshop in non-fiction prose writing class. We get critiqued on our pieces and have to just sit there without responding until everyone discusses your work, and then you can make comments. For my first piece, I wrote something that was very difficult for me, and I only just finished it tonight, thanks to alcohol. Would someone be willing to read it over and give me their thoughts? I didn't want to burden anyone on campus with it because it's a seven-page story about a dead child, but I could definitely use some pre-critique critiquing.

Because I totally don't have a million things to do before I leave for spring term.

You: A twosome or moresome, a number or a time of day, or a photo or lyric prompt.

Me: Will try to make them DO IT. One to three sentences, or not.

Specifics: The normal fandoms, plus Glee, bandom, SHAMELESS (US [I'm absolutely obsessed. It's kind of a problem.])...I'll give some things a try. If you don't know, ask. :) ETA: Will also do original stuff. /ETA

I desperately miss GK (and on a larger level, writing). It makes me really sad that the fandom's waned, although it's not unexpected. As for writing, I've been so blocked lately. Sometimes I think it's not what I'm really meant to do if I can't squeeze something out every so often.

Two posts in one day!

5. Kick Drum Heart - The Avett Brothers
There's nothing like finding gold
Within the rocks hard and cold
I'm so surprised to find more
Always surprised to find more

4. Saturday Night Thunderbolt - Ludo
I'm in love with the girl in the other room
Ten feet away, but I hit the moon
With glitter in the air, it's so easy to see
That she's gotta marry someone and it might be me

3. 7 Weeks - Gym Class Heroes feat. William Beckett
Tired boys and wired eyes
Exposing imperfections
To the public eye we're perfect
Even if we don't look back again

2. Somebody That I Used to Know - fun. feat Hayley Williams
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough

1. Trouble - Never Shout Never
I'm in trouble, I'm an addict
I'm addicted to this girl
She's got my heart tied in a knot
And my stomach in a whirl

I didn't do a Top 5 songs last month because I didn't think it'd be important, and now I realize how significantly music is connected to my feelings right now and think it's necessary to document.

5. Out of My League - Stephen Speaks
'Cause I love her with all that I am
And my voice shakes along with my hands
'Cause she’s all that I see and she’s all that I need
And I'm out of my league once again

4. One Foot - fun.
After all, after all I thought we were all your children,
But I will die for my own sins thanks a lot.
We’ll rise up ourselves; thanks for nothing at all
So up off the ground; our forefathers who are nothing but dust now.

3. Girl, You Shoulda Been a Drummer - William Beckett
Girl, you shoulda been a drummer
You break me down like no other
You beat my heart black and bruised
No one does it like you do

2. Watching You Watch Him - Eric Hutchinson
And I want you
When he's playing all his games
And it gets hard to tell who's the victim
When I am watching you watch him

1. Is It Me? Is It True? - Midtown
Every word I utter a lie
Gives life this conversation, it dies
The hope that's in your eyes
Is it worthless?

goingtoqueens asked me a bunch of questions that are almost so difficult I want to die.
How it works for you (if you wish to participate):
Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

Title: That My Two Arms Could Give Me Wing
Pairings: Stafford/Christeson, ensemble
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 36,331

Summary: John Christeson's struggle to leave the only home he's ever known leads him to a world he never could've imagined existing. It's not an easy journey, to say the least, and as soon as a problem is fixed, another one springs up.

Evan Stafford is, by far, the biggest complication.

(Dystopian AU.)

Notes: Thanks to goingtoqueens, pjvilar, schlicky, and whizzy for betaing and general support. Thanks to eudaimon for writing the introduction.
